AMBER Sponsor and Participant at the Münchner Management Kolloquium 2024

As the leading sponsor and participant, AMBER's experts engaged with other experts and attendees about cutting-edge AI solutions at the Münchner Management Kolloquium 2024.

The Münchner Management Kolloquium (MMK), one of the most significant and largest business conferences in Germany, annually attracts the elite from business and academia to the Technical University of Munich. This year's theme, "Stronger Together – Resilience Through Networking and Collaboration," gathered numerous executives, innovators, and thought leaders from industry, academia, and technology who are passionate about the future of industry and the role of technology within it.

The event focused on discussions about the latest trends and innovations, especially in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, resilience, and sustainability.

For AMBER, the MMK served not only as a platform for presenting its own solutions but also as a valuable opportunity to explore topics that resonate within the German industry and beyond.

At the MMK 2024, five key topics were intensively discussed: productive use of AI, corporate resilience, sustainability, the future of mobility, and the importance of transformations and partnerships.

"The MMK offered us a unique platform to expand our network and engage in in-depth discussions about the role of AI in the future," said Thomas Schmidt, CSO at AMBER. "Our participation underscores our commitment to being at the forefront of AI infrastructure and offering solutions as an NVIDIA Elite Partner that lead companies into the digital future," added Michael Rechenmacher, CEO of AMBER.

A central theme of the colloquium was the productive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It became clear that AI is no longer seen as a threat to jobs but rather as a catalyst for efficiency improvement and innovation. Studies presented during the event showed that companies using AI could increase their productivity by an average of 66%.

A special focus was also placed on the future of mobility, highlighted through presentations by Milan Nedeljkovic from BMW on electrification, Hauke Stars from Volkswagen on sustainable mobility, and Dirk Hoke from Volocopter, who discussed the introduction of air taxis in cities.

Prof. Dr. Wilhelm August Scheer emphasized the importance of transparent project management for change processes. He sees the future in compatible companies (Composable Enterprise), strengthened by a platform architecture and an integration concept. This approach enables companies to emerge stronger from difficult situations and successfully manage change processes.

The message is clear: Stagnation means regression. Participants and speakers of the MMK, including renowned leaders like Dr. Ralf Wintergerst and Dr. Johannes Bussmann, emphasized the importance of continuous transformations. These are essential to not only survive but thrive in a world marked by high uncertainties and a strong technological race. The use of digital technology, strategic changes, and business transformation are indispensable components.

Within the diverse program, the panel by NVIDIA and Microsoft, created in collaboration with AMBER, stood out, bridging technological innovation and strategic partnership. Here, Dr. Marianne Janik, CEO of Microsoft Germany, and Carlo Ruiz, Senior Director of AI Solutions at NVIDIA, highlighted not only the current advancements in Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing but also how these technologies lay the foundation for the next wave of digital transformation.

Representatives from both companies discussed how AI optimizes processes and enables new business models, as well as its role in addressing societal challenges. The need for accelerated adoption of AI technologies was emphasized to remain competitive globally.

A central theme was the significance of Cloud Computing as a catalyst for innovation and scalability. Panel participants explored how Microsoft's cloud infrastructure, combined with NVIDIA's advanced AI and computing solutions, enables companies of all sizes to perform complex data analyses, develop advanced AI models, and quickly implement these into practice.

The partnership impressively demonstrates how the combination of leading hardware and comprehensive cloud services creates innovative solutions that help companies realize their digital and AI-driven ambitions.

Carlo Ruiz, Senior Director at NVIDIA for AI and Datacenter Solutions and one of the panel guests, said about the colloquium: “A big thank you to AMBER for your presence at the MMK and the demonstration of RAG's capabilities. It was my highlight of the event.”
